Two of Edinburgh's festival venues could face disruption this summer as staff have been balloted for industrial action. BECTU members at the King's and Festival theatres are concerned that plans to make technical staff redundant will affect health and safety.
The union is now calling on Edinburgh City Council to investigate the running of the two theatres.
Shows during the Edinburgh Festival could be affected by any strike.
