Damp camper sells 'useless' tent
A disgruntled camper trying to sell his "useless tent" has attracted more than 46,000 hits on an internet auction site in just five days.

Iain McConnachie, from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, advertised the 14.99 Argos one-man tent on eBay after it let in water the first time he used it.

With bidding due to end on Wednesday evening, the tent has so far attracted a top bid of 275.

"It's been mad. I've spent hours just answering crazy questions," he said.

One woman from Florida asked if it was big enough to contain her husband and his Armani suits as she was about to throw him out, inviting Iain to be his replacement.

On his auction site, Mr McConnachie, an IT manager with Doncaster Council, said: "It has only been used once because it is rubbish.

"I have just returned from a weekend of wild camping in the Lakes, around the Shap and Nabs moor area with this tent.

"It does feature its own in-built irrigation system and every morning I had enough water inside the tent to make a brew and do a boil in the bag breakfast."

Mr McConnachie said he would donate the profits from the sale to charity.

A spokeswoman from Argos said: "We offer a wide range of tents to suit all needs and ensure that all tents are good quality and fit for purpose."
