The pictures were found on a bus |
A bus company wants to reunite a collection of wartime photos left on a bus with its owner. The 12 photos are thought to date from World War II and were left on the number 10 Arriva service between Prescot and St Helens a month ago.
An Arriva spokesman said: "We normally keep lost property for a month before disposing of it.
"But these are obviously of great value so we are trying to track the owner down."
Lost property officer Steve Leavesley added: "They've obviously got sentimental value - it's either a grandparent or maybe a widow that has lost them."
He said one of the pictures has the words "Dad, back row centre" written on it.
