The airport is at Castle Donington

North West Leicestershire District Council has previously voted against extending the international departure lounge by 1,800 sq m.

However a report from its own officers - which was due for consideration on Tuesday night - now suggests the council should reverse the decision.

The vote has now been postponed until 28 April.

Council officers say it will be too costly to oppose the extension, which is supported by the government.
