Busted join a long list of celebrities who have turned on the lights
Pop-rock act Busted have switched on this year's Christmas lights on London's Regent Street.

Disney/Pixar film The Incredibles, about a family of cartoon superheroes, is the theme of this year's display.

Samuel L Jackson, who provides the voice for one of the film's characters, made a special appearance on stage.

This year marks the 50th anniversay of Regent Street's festive lights, with a total of 350,000 lights being used to create the latest display.

The first lights on the busy London shopping street were Christmas lanterns.

This year's display uses the latest technology to create what organisers claim are the most innovative and sophisticated lights the capital has seen.

Busted join a long list of celebrities who have turned on the famous lights.

Previous stars to have pressed the button include Joan Collins (in 1985), Kylie Minogue (1989), Sir Anthony Hopkins (1992), All Saints (1998) and Will Young, in 2002.
